Xerox collage, postage on paper
50"x98"

A piece describing communication across great distances.

Each of the 20 collages in this series was created during the pandemic in my Indiana studio, folded, taped and mailed directly to the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens, Georgia for exhibition. The finished grid displays all markings of having traveled through the postal system.

Segue
2020-21
Seven acrylic on canvas, panel painting, pine shelf.
16" x 76"

Conceived and created during the 2020-21 period of lockdown, this piece is a meditation on the lived experience of quarantine, as well as a marker of the passing of time.

Each painting corresponds with a day of the week (Sunday at the left, Saturday at the right), and on that day, faces outward to meet a viewer's gaze. All other paintings remain faced to the wall. As the week progresses, each corresponding painting is turned outward, and all others face the wall. Only one painting is visible at a time.
